Dr. Donna Wilson is a fifth generation Colorado native who knew from the age of four years old that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She attended the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology and then went on to do research at the medical shool in Denver. She received her D.V.M. from Colorado State University in 1994. She practiced in the Seattle area, but after six years of missing family and the blue skies of Colorado, she moved back, settling in the Colorado Springs area last Fall. Dr. Wilson enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine including soft tissue surgery and internal medicine with special interests in geriatric medicine and endocrinology. She especially enjoys the human-animal bond that people share with their pets. She frequently attends continuing education courses so that she can provide the most up-to-date information and care for her clients and patients. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, bicycling, and gardening. She has a Welsh corgi, two cats, and a large extended family that also keeps her very busy. She is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado State Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association. |
